Do you get wet on the Hozugawa River boat ride?
How wet, honestly
On a normal day, barely. The gorge is mostly deep green pools and the rapids are over in seconds. Spray comes over the bow, the first two rows feel it, the back of the boat mostly does not. After heavy rain, when the water is high and the whole run compresses to around 60 minutes, everyone gets some of it. In winter the boats run under a clear canopy, so rain is not the issue and cold is. I have been on this river in every month it operates and the only time I have stepped off genuinely wet was in a high-water August.
